Greetings. I am grateful that you have taken a few moments of your time to look over our website at Chippewa Church of the Brethren. My name is Bill Eley and I am the pastor here at Chippewa. I grew up in the State of Virginia and after graduating from Franklin High School, my initial beginning in higher education was to study and then teach Physical Education. Having the call to preach I transferred to Luther Rice Seminary in Jacksonville, FL where I received my Bachelor of Divinity degree. While in Jacksonville I met my wife, the former Sandra Joy Sherman. We have two children and five grandchildren. Our son, Joshua, lives in Palm Beach Gardens, FL with his wife Angie and their two girls, Jordyn and Georgia. He is a sergeant for the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Our daughter, Ashley, lives in Nova, OH with her husband Rob Kerr and their three children, Macy, Grayden and Hadley. Rob and Ashley are owners and operators of Kerr Trucking Company. As we all know, life is real. My heart as a pastor is to see this real life and the Word of God come together so that we may see the faithfulness of the Lord in our daily lives. My passion is to see God’s people experience the fullness of joy available to us through our relationship with Him. Chippewa has the potential of being an impact for the Kingdom in the Creston and surrounding area. If you are looking for a church to call home, I hope that you will soon visit us on a Sunday. It is certainly my desire that you would find us to be the church where “the Bible and real life come together.” Pastor Bill Hebrews 13: 15, 20-21 |
